The Carp Tech Cradle has justifiably achieved cult status amongst
carp anglers as being the best and safest possible
solution for unhooking large carp, so much so that
some companies have even copied it.
But although every company has copied it, they're
still miles behind the original Carp Tech mat!!!
The Carp Cradle features a fully padded base with
drainage holes underneath, which is removable for
drying/cleaning purposes.
It also has padded sides
to ensure that new PB won't slip out, and a
retaining flap for if the carp is a little bit
lively, but, unlike other manufacturers versions of
the cradle, the Carp Tech sides actually stay firmly
upright. Other manufacturers versions are let down
by this, as their sides sag and
lay flat within a short time.
Although seemingly bulky, you can fold the
cradle in half and velcro the flap over one half and
it makes it a lot more manageable.
There is also a small pocket at one end to hold a
carp care kit, forceps and the suchlike, whilst
slings and sacks can be stored under the padded
mattress.
The Carp Tech Cradle is available with foam and
beanie mattresses.
